Preferred Roamer

Preferred Roamer

As the number of roaming mobile subscribers continues to grow, so does their demand for a level of service that is consistent regardless of their location. Each operator has roaming agreements with more than one operator in foreign countries. When a home network cannot control which network outbound roamers visit, many out-roamers select a competitor network, resulting in potential loss of revenue for the network and lower service levels for the subscriber.

TPR allows the home network to preferentially select the network for its subscribers when they are roaming. This results in directing out-roaming subscribers onto partner and/or preferred networks where advantageous roaming agreements have been established. Subscribers receive a better service level, resulting in increased loyalty to the network.
