Job Role
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Senior Analyst, reporting directly to the Chief Trust Officer. The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of trust and safety initiatives across the organisation. The Chief Trust Officer is responsible for safeguarding the trust and confidence of our clients, partners, regulators, government and stakeholders of the communications industry by ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance and ethical conduct.
What you'll be responsible for?
- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with industry regulations (TRAI, RBI, SEBI), and legal requirements (MHA, MeitY) related to trust and security as well as our core business operations.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines by participating in industry consultations and networking with key personalities in the government. Evangelize new products and service enhancement opportunities with the evolving policy landscape, majorly through TRAI.
- Regulatory Requirement in other Jurisdictions: Research and build a core understanding of global regulations and competition in the telecom and CPaaS space to support the company’s expansion overseas (majorly Middle East and South East Asia).
- Enterprise Risk Management: Take charge of governance of Tanla’s Risk Management function which includes reporting to the Board’s Risk Management Committee, driving the objectives of the Risk function, and ensure its integration into all departments. Hold periodic committee meetings, develop and maintain the risk register and present to the Board.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to our communication to Indian and foreign regulators, our partners, industry consultations and internal material for senior management (C-suite).
- Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in trust and security across AI, blockchain and cybersecurity.
Qualification and other skills
BE / B.Tech / M Tech / MBA / MA
What you'd have?
- Required 4+ years of experience in a regulatory/policy role in telecom, or CPaaS industry.
- Good understanding of data security practices and privacy laws (DPDP Act, GDPR, ISO 27001), and telecom regulations on SMS/voice communications (TCCCPR 2018).
- Deep interest in AI/ML and blockchain niche is a plus.
