Corporate Controller

What you'll be resoponsible for?

  • Guiding accounting decisions by developing and monitoring policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating and enhancing financial controls
  • Defining process for tax return preparation and filing procedures
  • Ability to analyze, interpret balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and liabilities and demonstrate the impact of quality of financial reporting
  • Performing internal audits and financial risk assessments, facilitate intervention strategies, draw the financial controls framework,
  • Define and draw policies and process for various upstream Accounting functions including book-keeping, book closure, invoicing, revenue recognition, expense accounting, provisioning, reimbursements, and payroll administration
  • Lead the annual budgeting exercise, forecasts, and reports,
  • Suggest and improve methods and process for effective financial reporting within the regulatory framework
  • Overseeing accounting staff and responsible for analyzing profit center performance metrics
  • Proper analytical review of the asset operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective
  • Additional controller duties as necessary and a serve as a repository of applicable regulations for the team and the Reporting Manager

What you'd have?

  • A Chartered Accountant with a proven global working experience of around 15 years as a Corporate controller or similar work experience in a global Organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures such as Ind AS, Indian GAAP, IFRS, etc.,
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Ability to manage 20 member teams
  • Experience of having worked with reputed audit firms
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging regulatory landscape in domestic & international markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop institutional policies and procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze, summarize, and effectively engage with leadership, board members & investors.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, principles and procedures of strategic business planning and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and advice on the application of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of investigation, negotiation, mediation and complaint resolution process.
  • Knowledge of fiscal principles to oversee budgets and financial activity within the areas of oversight.
